Aaron Neville, Molly Ringwald among 2013-14 Clarion artists
The Clarion at Brazosport College is gearing up for another big season that features something for everyone. This year’s performance season highlights 11 exciting shows, which include popular artists from the worlds of country, R&B, jazz and pop music, among others.
Topping the list will be American R&B icon Aaron Neville, who will perform some of his iconic songs in the opening show of The Clarion’s new season on Sept. 27. A month later, popular country artist Aaron Tippin will visit the Brazosport area on November 1.
There’s much more to look forward to this year, however.
For lovers of pop music, the Grammy-nominated Sixpence None the Richer takes the stage on December 6. The new year will then kick off with actress and author Molly Ringwald, performing with the Brazosport Jazz Orchestra on January 25. Another fantastic combination will be the pairing of one of North America’s most in-demend and beloved tenors, Mike Eldred, with the Brazosport Symphony Orchestra on March 22.
Others coming to the Brazosport area include Shaun Hopper on Jan. 31, Celtic Nights on Feb. 22, Voces8 on March 7, Christopher O’Riley on April 5 and Juan L. Sanchez on Nov. 22.
The Clarion also will feature the popular family-themed play, “Angelina Ballerina, The Musical” on October 22.
Full season and individual tickets are available, as well as an option to pick four shows. Call the Clarion box office at (979) 230-3156 or log on to clarion.brazosport.edu to learn more.
